The Elsberry R-II School District is seeking a dedicated and caring Paraprofessional to support student learning and assist classroom teachers in creating a positive, engaging, and supportive educational environment. This position plays a vital role in helping students succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally.

Key Responsibilities
Support certified teachers in delivering instruction to individuals and small groups of students
Assist students with academic tasks, organization, and classroom routines
Provide additional support to students with special learning or behavioral needs as directed
Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional times (arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, etc.)
Assist with the preparation of instructional materials and classroom activities
Communicate effectively and professionally with teachers, administrators, and staff
Follow district policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
College coursework 60 semester hours or paraprofessional certification preferred (ParaPro Assessment) or Substitute Teacher Certification
Experience working with children in an educational or youth setting preferred
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
Genuine care for students and a desire to support their success
