From activists and civil rights pioneers, leaders in industry, politics, science, culture, and more.” (History.com, 2022) Mrs. Yates created a bulletin board for the month that allows students to have the opportunity to learn about significant Black Americans that made an impact on the world.

Positive role models for young girls have never been more important. Did you know a mentor when you were younger? As a #GOTR Coach, you can be that person for a girl in your community — reminding her that her future matters and she is capable of anything. Learn how to become the coach that she’ll never forget. Our team at Clarence Cannon Elementary needs more Coaches! Starting the week of March 6th, the team will meet twice a week for 75 minutes after school. GOTR provides training and support all season long. Reach out to Danielle Osterkamp at dosterkamp@elsberry.k12.mo.us for more information today!

Mrs. Wilch has some great photos from community circle to share. Her class does an I Love You ritual each morning. They roll the dice to choose, and the class favorite is “Row, Row, Row Your Boat.” These rituals increase attention span, decrease power struggles, and promote language and literacy at school or at home. I Love You Rituals build positive, lifelong bonds between adults and children! Thanks for sharing Mrs. Wilch.
