Tuesday, April 8: The EHS baseball game location is being moved to Silex this evening.


Tonight's high school baseball game, Monday, April 7, has been moved to Mark Twain at 5 pm. The bus will leave at 3pm.


EHS Juniors in Government class participated in a mock government simulation today organized by Miss Wehmeyer. Students wrote and presented their bills. Here are the bills that passed the mock legislative experience.
Noah Killian with a unique proposal to make government proceedings move outdoors.
Austin Tapley and Drew Hagemeier passed a bill to require all public restrooms to install urinal dividers.
Kenzie Koch and Kayleze Risby passed a bill allowing farmers to plant any purchased seeds regardless of timing or patent regulations.
Camy Rockwell and Meredith Balfanz passed a Last Friday bill to provide discount shopping experiences for consumers monthly.
Rory Klump passed a bill that allowed ATV's to operate on public roads.





No EHS baseball will be played on Saturday, April 5.

Aleks Harman was one of 6 winners for the Cuivre River Electric Youth Tour. As a winner he will participate in a week long trip to Washington DC. Congrats Aleks! Enjoy your D.C. adventure!


On Paraprofessional Appreciation Day we want to give a shout out to the support staff at the Elsberry R-2 School District. Paraprofessionals are educational rockstars who make everyday better for students. They inspire, encourage, instruct, motivate, and create relationships that last a lifetime. They're a big deal and our school is so lucky to have such an incredible team of paraprofessionals on staff.

Come interact with a panel of honest parents, teachers, and community members for a discussion about ADHD. Please join us in congratulating Aleks Harman on being selected as a finalist in the Cuivre River Youth Tour Essay Contest. He is in the running for either an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C., or a $500 scholarship. The next step in the competition includes a quiz and presenting his essay, which is entitled "More Than Electricity: Empowering Community Through Democratic Member Control". Best of luck Aleks!

Pi (often represented by the lower-case Greek letter π), one of the most well-known mathematical constants, is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. For any circle, the distance around the edge is a little more than three times the distance across. Mrs. Cody's class created a visual representation of π.
