The Middle School Student Council would like to invite veterans to join students (grades K-12) in celebrating Veterans Day. The Veterans Day Breakfast will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024. The Veteran attending should be at the school between 8:15 and 8:30 and should enter at the Elementary Doors. Veterans will go to the elementary gym to check in and wait to meet with their student. After breakfast we will have an assembly in the High School Gym.

Mrs. Morrissey's class is learning about apples. Students learned about parts of the apple and helped chop apples to make applesauce! After it cooked, they mashed the apples and enjoyed it with apple straws and apple cider!

Miss Hatcher's third grade class did a lesson on words and the impact they have on others and themselves. They talked about how sometimes we say things that we do not mean to come off in a rude or unkind way, but once the “toothpaste” or words have been said or squeezed out, it is so hard, or almost impossible, to put those words back where they came from. Students thought about unkind words they have said to others or to themselves and squeezed out a bit of toothpaste. Then they tried to get the toothpaste back inside the tube. This demonstrated the importance of kindness and making sure we use kind words with others and ourselves.

Mrs. Patton's second grade class made diyas today. They have been learning about the celebration Diwali in a reading selection.

Mrs. Clote's first graders have learned all about the skeletal system in reading. They even made their own skeletons!

Mrs. Heras has a special request. She would like every student K-3 and Treble Makers members to bring in a flashlight to leave at school until the Christmas Program is over. It doesn't need to be gigantic, just a normal sized flashlight will be great. Please make sure it has batteries. Make sure your child's name is on the flashlight on a piece of masking tape and put it directly on the flashlight. We want to start practicing for an amazing Christmas program as soon as possible.
P.S. If you have a couple of extras and want to donate them for other students please send them in labeled as a donation.
