Do you remember fifth grade field day? What outdoor activities are you doing to stay active and healthy this summer?

When is the last time you heard your musician practice? Believe it or not, instruments can be played year around. Keep those skills sharp this summer and Mrs. Cooper will be delighted this fall!











Check out this famous Paris landmark made by our summer school students. This build took a lot of collaboration, critical thinking and communication.


Today's EMS Summer School adventure took Mrs. Cross, Mrs. Braden and Mr. Kreuger's classes to Mark Twain Cave.









Mr. Kreuger's summer school students are learning about Ancient Greece as part of their Olympic studies. Students created crayon resist pottery paintings and learned how to write their names using the Greek alphabet.






Today's EMS Summer School students went on an adventure to the St. Louis Arch.

The Award of Excellence is given by MSHAA to athletes who demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship, ethics and integrity. We are proud to announce the recipients at EMS are Nolan Holland and Zoie Foster.

Students attempted to create an effective bow and arrow in honor of the archery portion of the Olympics.





EMS students enjoyed a trip to the St. Louis Aquarium today.






Just a reminder about the EMS cell phone policy. Even during summer school cell phones should remain in backpacks and be off during school hours. Cell phones are not permitted on field trips.


Here are some STEM projects from this week. Students created bobsleds while learning about the Winter Olympics. In preparation for the 2024 Summer Olympics students studied some Paris landmarks.



EMS Summer School students enjoyed a field trip to the Butterfly House on Wednesday. A special thank you to the chaperones who have accompanied us on our field trips.
