Happy New Year! We are looking forward to seeing our students back at school on Tuesday, January 3.
Wishing Jess Wilson a wonderful retirement! Thanks for your five years of service as our maintenence technician.
Julie Conner joined our staff as our SRO in October. Her advice for students is everything is temporary. Nothing lasts forever. When you are going through a rough time, remember that. Also remember that when times are good.
Reminder that school will be in session on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Wednesday school dismisses at 12:35 pm.
Mr. Boedeker is our biggest Blues fan and as a surprise for his birthday, we were joined by Louie the Blues mascot at lunch.
Mrs. Cari Braden is a 9 year member of the 6th Grade team at Elsberry Middle School. She also currently serves as an EMS Student Council Sponsor. She hopes students remember that she loves them all, even when we have bad days.
Marking your calendar and checking it twice!
Caleb Johnson has been a member of our Braves staff for 4 years. He also coaches throughout the year. His advice for students is to give your best everyday and know that everything you want in life can be achieved. You just have to go out and earn it!
Mrs. Michele Schaffer has been a member of our science department for six years. Her advice to students is even if you do not like what you're learning, try to take away one piece of each lesson. It might just be a skill or strategy you can use in your daily life.
Mrs. Jessica Marshall is in her 21st year at the district. You can find her teaching first graders during the day and some afternoons she is teaching at the Explorer's Club afterschool program. If it is summer, you will most likely find her at the baseball field.
Tavia McIntyre is in her fourth year at Elsberry Middle School. She is a Lindenwood University Grad. Her newest project is organizing our EMS Pep Club. We are excited to see the growing student section at basketball games.
Today is Substitute Educators Day! Our substitutes are a vital part of our education system. Thank you to all of our substitutes. Some of you have worked for us for many years, and other just started this year. We appreciate all of you just the same!
Mrs. Kelsi Conner has been teaching first grade at CCE for 13 years. She hopes students remember her goal was not just to teach them reading and math, but to teach them to be good humans.

Just a friendly reminder about our upcoming calendar that changes from our normal routine. We will be in session on Monday, November 21 and Monday, December 19.
The EMS Student Council members did an excellent job organizing and speaking at our Veterans Day celebration. Students joined their Veterans for breakfast in the cafeteria. Next Mrs. Lynne Watson shared her story as a Marine. The EHS Band and the Treblemakers Honor Choir both performed multiple pieces. Duncan Whiteside concluded the assembly by playing Taps. We appreciate everyone who made this day possible and were thrilled by how many Veterans were able to attend. To see more photos please visit the Elsberry Middle School Facebook Page. November 8 is National PAT Day! Help us celebrate our parent educators, Dawn Stone and Deana Zimmermann. Feel free to drop your favorite Elsberry PAT photos in the comments. The national Parents as Teachers model program builds strong communities, thriving families, and children who are healthy, safe and ready to learn by matching parents and caregivers with trained professionals, known as Parent Educators. Parent Educators make regular personal home visits during a child’s earliest years in life, from prenatal through kindergarten. Find more information on our program at our website: https://sites.google.com/elsberry.k12.mo.us/elsberry-parents-as-teachers/home or our Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063009200099
